MyTWR Hub is The Writing Revolution’s new centralized platform where you can access all the tools and training components included with your paid membership.

A TWR training membership includes both instruction in the Hochman Method® and 12-month access to MyTWR Tools. The exact features vary by training format (live virtual, self-paced, refresher), but all training memberships are structured around professional learning plus implementation support.

Both cover The Hochman Method: 3–12, but they’re designed for different needs.

If someone hasn’t taken a TWR training before, the Self-Paced membership is what they need. It’s a structured, full version of the training with four modules. It uses what’s called forced progression — so you have to complete each segment and complete Checks for Understandings before moving to the next. This ensures foundational strategies are learned in order. It also tracks completion, which is helpful for school or district leaders who want to monitor progress. And yes, participants get a Certificate of Completion at the end.

On the other hand, the Refresher membership is for people who’ve already completed the 3–12 training. It’s less formal — you can jump to any module or segment you want. It’s perfect for brushing up on strategies or revisiting specific lessons. 

Pricing also reflects that difference: Self-Paced is $700, while Refresher is $300. Both include 12-month access to MyTWR Tools.

MyTWR Tools is a 12-month membership-based resource suite designed to support educators in implementing the Hochman Method® effectively. 

Hosted on the MyTWR Hub platform, MyTWR Tools provides:

1. Judy: An AI-powered activity generator and coach, named after TWR founder Dr. Judith Hochman, which helps teachers quickly create TWR-aligned classroom activities.

2. Customizable templates in English and Spanish for classroom use.

3. K–12 content examples, differentiated across grade bands and subjects.

4. Pacing guides, assessment tools, and planning tools.

5. Classroom videos featuring TWR faculty and modeled lessons.

6. Monthly new and featured resources, including timely instructional tools.

7. Access to The Writing Revolution 2.0 book resources, organized chapter-by-chapter for practical application.

MyTWR Tools was designed for any educator who:

1. Completed an introductory course in the Hochman Method

2. Read The Writing Revolution 2.0 on their own or in a book study

While the tools themselves are a powerful support for writing instruction, their impact is greatest when used by educators who understand the method’s structure and sequence.

Everything related to your training—note-taking resources, joining the session, marking attendance, and accessing recordings—is now located in one place for ease and accessibility: your MyTWR Hub Dashboard.

All of the resources needed for note-taking are linked under the subheading Training Materials.

On the day of each session, 15 minutes before the start time, the word “Join” will appear in your dashboard—this is your embedded Zoom link. The same area will also display “Mark Attendance” when it’s time to record your participation.

You’ll also receive a Session Reminder email from support@thewritingrevolution.org. 

Once the live session ends, the Recording link will be posted in that same section within a few hours.

For those registered in Self-Paced or Refresher memberships, all modules and training materials can be accessed directly within the MyTWR Dashboard, by selecting the My Training card.

Upon registering for a training schedule, you’ll receive a confirmation email which includes the book redemption link.

The Hochman Method absolutely can and should be applied in the lower primary grades. We strongly believe that the earlier students are introduced to structured writing instruction, the stronger their skills become over time.

That said, we currently do not offer a Self-Paced option for grades K–2. The training for these grades focuses heavily on how the strategies can be used orally to build the vocabulary and language skills necessary for future success in writing. The K-2 course includes age-appropriate examples and techniques for scaffolding and differentiation. Because of this difference in approach and content, we recommend registering your 1st and 2nd grade teachers for a live virtual K–2 training rather than the Self-Paced option.

TWR provides a certificate of completion upon request and if all sessions have been attended. More information will be shared during the course/workshop.

1. Membership access and subscription begin on the date of purchase. 

2. Discounts only apply to purchases made within the same transaction. 

3. Each time an account manager needs to purchase additional memberships (adding more educators) after the initial purchase, it’s processed as a separate transaction. 

​4. Each new order generates its own invoice, so invoices cannot be combined to include previous orders and discounts; however, you can submit one payment to cover multiple invoices if that’s easier for your records.

1. Refund requests must be submitted within two (2) weeks of the original purchase date. 

2. Refund requests must be submitted or confirmed by the Account Manager. 

3. Requests made after two weeks are not eligible for a refund. 

4. Refunds apply only to memberships being fully cancelled, not for adjustments, user substitutions, or transfers. 

5. Partial refunds are not provided.

Purchase Orders do not automatically grant access to MyTWR Hub (our platform) or to TWR training and tools. While it may be necessary for you to begin the procurement process on your end, please note that on our side, access is only granted once an account has been created and the checkout process has been completed. This ensures the system recognizes the membership and allows the user to log in and utilize training and tools.

The Writing Revolution accepts Purchase Orders (PO) as a commitment to payment; however, the actual payment must be made by credit card, check, or ACH to finalize your order. Membership access and subscription begin on the date the order is placed.

If you paid by credit card, your invoice will appear in your Order History and a copy will also be emailed to you automatically from quickbooks@notification.intuit.com.

For schools and districts paying by ACH or check, the invoice will be sent via email from quickbooks@notification.intuit.com once the purchase process has been fully completed in MyTWR Hub.
