As of 2019, The Writing Revolution has trained more than 5,000 educators through courses and partnerships and has reached more than 150,000 students. The Writing Revolution: A Guide to Advancing Thinking Through Writing in All Subjects and Grades (2017) has sold thousands of copies nationally and internationally.

According to data from the New York State Department of Education:
- From 2016 to 2017, the average growth in proficiency (score of 3 or 4) of TWR partner schools on the New York State 3-8 ELA Exam was higher than the average growth of proficiency of both New York City and New York State.
- In 2017 and 2018, TWR partner high schools’ average proficiency (65+) on the Living Environment, ELA, and U.S. History New York State Regents Exams was higher than the New York City high school average proficiency.
- From 2017 to 2018, the average growth in proficiency (65+) at TWR partner high schools on the NYS Global History Regents Exam was higher than the average growth of proficiency for New York City.
- All TWR partner high schools increased their graduation rate from 2017 to 2018.
According to data from the Louisiana Department of Education, Monroe City Schools (a TWR partner district) was among the most improved districts in the state of Louisiana for students in grades 3-8 scoring Mastery or better on the LEAP Exam in 2019.
