Every fall, from September 15 to October 15, Americans celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. This K–2 background resource introduces the celebration — its origins, its start date, and the ways communities honor Hispanic and Latino Americans — through a grade-appropriate informational article. Students complete sentence-level activities and an SPO scaffold, and bulletin board materials are included to showcase their work.
