Engage secondary students in the urgent environmental story of the Great Barrier Reef through this resource built around a problem/solution text structure. Students read a TWR article and complete sentence-, paragraph-, and revision-level activities that develop their ability to analyze, explain, and write about complex ecological issues using disciplinary language. A bulletin board component supports student display and discussion of their work. This resource is designed for easy integration into science or ELA classrooms. K–2 and elementary versions with bulletin board materials are also available.
