Chapter 13

Putting the Method into Practice: Leaving No Strategy Behind

This chapter discusses how to implement TWR strategies in your classroom. All students, regardless of grade or ability level, should practice sentence-level strategies daily. These strategies are designed to be recursive, meaning previously taught strategies should be continually revisited. The TWR pacing guides are intended to be flexible, allowing teachers to consider their students’ needs and abilities when determining the duration for each strategy.
